Mini 6max, fold AK pre too tight? Mini 6max, fold AK pre too tight?

Got into this spot last night, and not sure if my fold with AKs was too tight?

Info on villains, CO was playing 38/29 over 100 hands and SB was playing 29/17 over 146 hands.

Also, the CO was playing aggro when opening, however he wasn't 3betting aggressively at all, at the time of this hand this was his 2nd 3bet of the night.

    Poker Stars, $20 Buy-in (300/600 blinds, 60 ante) No Limit Hold'em Tournament, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

    SB: 38,673 (64.5 bb)
    BB: 10,050 (16.8 bb)
    Hero (UTG): 23,644 (39.4 bb)
    MP: 9,940 (16.6 bb)
    CO: 34,764 (57.9 bb)
    BTN: 14,990 (25 bb)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A K
Hero raises to 1,320, MP folds, CO raises to 3,220, BTN folds, SB raises to 9,600, 2 folds, CO calls 6,380

    Flop: (21,480) 7 5 6 (2 players)
SB checks, CO bets 25,104 and is all-in, SB calls 25,104

    Turn: (71,688) 2 (2 players, 1 is all-in)
    River: (71,688) 2 (2 players, 1 is all-in)

    Spoiler:
    Results: 71,688 pot
    Final Board: 7 5 6 2 2
SB showed A J and lost (-34,764 net)
    CO showed A Q and won 71,688 (36,924 net)

I think I am still happy with my fold, but I was hoping for other opinions please, letting me know if this is the right fold given the situation and how the hand played out, or if its to tight and I just should 5bet rip it in?

    Thanks in advance, Ross.

Any reason as to why? I appreciate your reply, but it's a little vague, I want to learn and understand how to play this spot properly, not just jam over 4bet because it's AKs, what does SB's range look like? I felt at the time he had my AK crushed and we either have the same hand or we are flipping against QQ?

Both villains are aggressive - sure their ranges aren't going to be wide, but you also can't have a strong enough read that they have AA/KK. They will have hands like JJ/QQ/AK and possibly even AQs in their ranges.

You can't just call and play postflop because 2/3 of the time the flop will miss you and you'll get pushed off the pot. AKs is a hand than needs to see all 5 cards so it's always better to shove than to call and play postflop in spots like this. Plus, you also have some fold equity and can drive one or both of them out with shove. Worst case, getting it in against both with a chance to triple with a hand as good as AKs isn't a bad outcome.

Thankyou, makes sense, calling for me was never an option, it was definitely an all in or fold spot, I chose the weaker and certainly safer option.

I aired on the side of caution due to villain cold 4b my utg open, alarm bells rang and I guess I just had their ranges too tight in my head.

Appreciate yours and everyone else's reply, I take on board the fold was too weak and nitty and next time it's getting piled in.

    Ross.
