mid game top pair A9s on a paired board+BD flush

PartyGaming - 800/1600 NL (8 max) - Holdem - 8 players

No read on villain. I think he got there on the river or even more likely he played AK in a weird way given he has 3 bet PF. Or is he simply bluffing ? What bluffs does he have in his range ? Thoughts ?

MP: 105.81 BB
MP+1: 127.38 BB
Hero (CO): 247.25 BB
BTN: 119.25 BB
SB: 128.25 BB
BB: 173.66 BB
UTG: 125.82 BB
UTG+1: 157.17 BB

8 players post ante of 0.13 BB, SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 2.5 BB) Hero has A 9

fold, UTG+1 raises to 2.5 BB, fold, fold, Hero calls 2.5 BB, BTN raises to 6.5 BB, fold, fold, fold, Hero calls 4 BB

Flop: (18 BB, 2 players) 6 6 A
Hero checks, BTN checks

Turn: (18 BB, 2 players) 2
Hero bets 9 BB, BTN calls 9 BB

River: (36 BB, 2 players) 8
Hero checks, BTN bets 27 BB Hero ?

Re: mid game top pair A9s on a paired board+BD flush

Very small chance for AA. Can be 6x, flush, but again very small chance. I even will bet OTR . And call vs raise. Probably this is some dumb bluff with pocket pair. At least I will think about this. No logic at all. Also no logic for bluff with pocket pair, let's say JJ. But you can see that. At least often enough for call...

Only AA makes sense. Only one combo...And again, not always. "Maybe one combo". I will fold vs shove. Vs "maybe one combo"...
