Hi Angela,

IMO the flop bet is a bit too small, I probably would have made it around 750 but with the amount of equity you have on the flop there's an argument to be made for that small of a bet to try and build a pot.

On the turn I think this is actually a fold unless you think he does this with a hand like 77,88 or weaker flush draws. The pot is 15149, and it's 8336 to call so based on that you need about 35% equity to call which with the str8 and flush draws you have 15 outs once so about 30%. If you think a Q or J hitting would be good then you have 21 total outs plus a Q or J high would be good vs something like 54s, 43s... so that would justify a call.

Personally QJs is not in my 3b range in the hj vs lj open.

You kill that flop plus it's hugely wet so I tend to bet bigger on wet flops anyway so I would put the pressure on button since his range is stronger than yours make him uncomfortable with at least a 60% psb.

Ott the ace kills our equity. If we bet and get raised we can't fold and we are surely behind with 30% equity. If we check it kinda sucks to fold when we have so many outs even though we kinda have to fold yo any reasonable bet and we're surely folding otr when we miss ... and if he checks back we don't have a lot of fold equity otr because our check ott looks weak... this is a tough spot because we are oop.

I actually like open jamming ott because he likely folds half his range here. He might fold KK and even an ace lower than AK... and he's folding the Kx combos that beat us... like I said if we get called we have 30% which isn't horrible.

Size up flops to set up turn/river jams at this stack depth esp in a KO, if we really deep then I don't mind smaller bets and play w some pot control but usually in these spots im going to bet/gii almost always on that flop.

As played, its proly a fold with only 15 outs although a small amount of time some give him a boat if he has set/2p like Ac/Tc or he has a better draw like the nut or 2nd nfd otf, so say we have 14 outs instead then we only 28% to the river and we need slightly better than 2-1 at 34% or better to call (8 to win 15) so we going to be slightly losing in the long run.

Proly in these spots you have to be prepared to fire all 3 even if you hit or not to maximise FE and hand equity together, so betting flop/turn to set up river jam seems like an ok line.

So often V isn't high enough up in his range to call all 3 and sometimes when he is we will have hit our hand. In order to live you have to be prepared to die
