Winning Poker Network Game #1247485170: No Limit Holdem (40,000/80,000) [2018/08/14 07:34:25 UTC]

HJ (HERO): Dealt [Th Kd]

BB (VILLAIN): calls 80,000
*** FLOP *** [Jc 4h 6h] Pot: [408,000]
BB (VILLAIN): checks
HJ (HERO): bets 133,895
BB (VILLAIN): calls 133,895
*** TURN *** [Jc 4h 6h] [Qh] Pot: [675,790]
BB (VILLAIN): checks
HJ (HERO): bets 375,000
BB (VILLAIN): calls 375,000
*** RIVER *** [Jc 4h 6h] [Qh] [3s] Pot: [1,425,790]
BB (VILLAIN): checks
HJ (HERO): raises all-in 2,453,950

Sharkscoped villain, seems like a solid, winning opponent, felt like he would be aware of icm.
Thoughts on the sizings? Flop cbet felt standard and turn barrel felt mandatory (maybe can size a little bigger here). Went for the all you can eat on the blank river. ICM played a role in my decision to bluff, but the runout was really good for me and the ten of hearts blocker is really significant.

Would love to hear all feedback.

Tenreally isn't that significant when they called every street. It may have helped had a heart hit the river but they can definitely have a made flush already. Pre is fine, flop cbet seems good, but I think I'm checking back turn. We pick up some decent equity and we would like to realize it for a cheap as possible. Once they call flop and turn, I am giving up OTR especially vs a good reg this close to the bubble. The thing is villain only started the hand with 26bbs and has called every bullet, do you think they're going to actually fold your river jam on that insignificant river card?

Also, we have two of the blockers that we want them to have had they been on a draw so that's not good for us.

Thanks for the response. I think the idea of checking back the turn is interesting. However when we cbet that flop and we pick up a turn as great as the Q I feel like we have to barrel. Great card for our range + good card to semi bluff. We can also fold out a lot of his straight draws and middle pairs. Feels like when if we check back we give him a free card and a chance at showdown. I think the point you make about him potentially being a good reg can actually give the bluff some merit. A decent reg can get sticky with a jack here. This bluff is almost primarily targeted at a jack. Also the 4 bb stack has to raise red flags for his icm considerations here. He has to be pretty high up in his range to make this call. Also, vill has roughly 17 bbs behind on river. His preflop, flop, and turn call only has him 9 bbs invested into the pot, so I think he definitely has hands that can call call and fold on the river.

Just counters to your points, but you made good ones. Hopefully you respond to the points I raised here for some constructive poker learning!

I think I like the line. Obviously it'd be better to have the Kx or Ax of hearts or whatever but I think this is fine. Especially with a 4bb stack I think you can really push fold equity in spots like this. Sucks if you get snapped cos you feel like a bit of a dummy, but again, I think this is ok.

Also, all other players stack sizes are going to be important here too I reckon

meh;
c-bet sizing is too small.
Th is not that good blocker for fd's BB's range.
what hands he folds after calling 2 barrels on the board that had 3 hearts ott?

and yea, check that turn.
