    No, you played this well. You are no where near strong enough to let him have a free turn once checked to- a lot of times you do that and when he improves, he's taking the pot. You usually get only one street of value from mid or higher pairs, whether you bet now, or check turn, bet river.

    Close between checking and betting turn for me. I feel like he will continue with a lot of his diamond FD's on the turn so we are really looking at giving broadway combos a free chance at a gutter or a weaker ace / jack to improve.

    I think I'm checking turn to take it to showdown on bad river cards, and then bluff catch or value bet good river cards.

    Close though. I think valuing turn is fine but possibly a little thin.

    TPMK is a pretty standard check behind on the turn. When you bet you only get value from a few worse Aces and some draws, but you get called by better hands and fold out all his weak stuff. When you check behind you give him a chance to bluff or bet the river with worse thinking he's good.
