Hi guys

I know it´s not the most interesting spot on the world but nevertheless i struggle a little bit with these spots...is there any theoretical way to approach them?

We are in a PKO. Villain who shoves has x2 bounty and myself x3

BTN: 38,551 (24.1 bb)
SB: 10,890 (6.8 bb)
BB: 58,684 (36.7 bb)
UTG: 27,003 (16.9 bb)
UTG+1: 14,346 (9 bb)
MP: 12,673 (7.9 bb)
MP+1: 9,268 (5.8 bb)

8 players post ante of 200, SB posts 800, BB posts 1,600

Pre Flop: (pot: 4,000) Hero has 8

2 folds, MP raises to 12,473 and is all-in ..... Hero ???

So should we:

1) Flat call and fold to a shove made by BB ?
2) Raise (to what amount?)
3) Fold ??????

Ok thanks guys...so as long as we cover the V´s we can shove wider right? And this even when we are potentially playing for 36 BB (that was my main concern here)

Yes, since you have BB covered he has to wake up with a monster to call off his stack there. PKOs are all about finding these low risk spots to isolate bounty targets.

Seems too tight. Needs to be any suited ace, K9s+ prob approx and any pair I'd venture. It's not very likely the 36bb stack has a hand and we cover them anyways.

That's one random hand, I wouldn't worry too much and you still cover them if they call AND you have an ace so your equity is never that bad except vs aces.
