That was the hand that i played today. 10Euros MTT micromillions 12500 field and 200 left on PS
I have no info about the villain (only 5 hands).
The question here for me is, its profitable this shove? And how can i calculate this, i always have problems to understand that type of hands that the vilain bet and i shove. How can i know if the shove is profitable.
On that moment i hit one of the best flops to J5s, and im short so thats why i shoved
however i think that i have no fold equity.
Other point is about the range of villain, i think that he probably bet Ax, maybe flush draw, and i dont know if we open limp hands like 47s or 78s (i have a 7 so i block some combos)
I have a lot of thoughts but i need help to structure them

I'm folding J5s or J7s preflop.

Yeah, you're too short and oop, fold pre. As played, just call flop if this is final table of an mtt, cause you'll still have one player covered and an orbit to wait for premiums if you fold turn (which on that card, you should)

Didn't read, but nearly 100% that you have to fold pre with J5s. Doesn't matter stack sizes, opponents or whatever...

Fold pre!

Fold pre!
There are times you should jam J5s preflop but prob not often over 2 limpers.

Tell me 2 ( only 2...) formations when you have to jam J5s, please.

OTB like super short only and BvB with super tiny stacks.

You have to fold like 99.50% of the time with J5s

Don't talk BS if you don't know

On topic: I read it this time. Hero is gambling with a short stack and one of the worst hand in the game. From the worst position of the table and in a multiway pot.
With Hero stack, vs multiple limps, you only option is to shove or fold. Never ever calling in this spot
You can shove like 22+ AJo+ ATs+ and JTs+ KJs QJs and except to get calls like most of the time.

Yeah....no. Snapshove says you can jam around 65% from the SB with 12 blinds which means the worst suited hands we jam are 43s, 53s 63s 74s etc.

Let me tinker with btn and co ranges and see...

CO says 5 blinds is the J5s limit to jam profitably. At 5.5 or 6 it says J6s which obv isn't accounting limpers just refuting your piss poor attitude and wrong information.

Don't guide all your push/fold game in snapshove. Players are tighter in low stakes, so the nash equilibrium changes
It's a good starting point, but you can do better.
Using ICMizer to tweak your shoving ranges is infinite better.

I apologize for my attitude. For personal reasons I might be replying with a little anger

Actually this line is super standard, anyone saying it’s shove or fold pre is clueless.
We can flick in half a big blind here with almost any 2 suited cards. Our range should be pretty similar to the hands we would limp bvb

Shouldn't be similar at all. We should be folding more hands here for sure. Def not limping 34s J2s etc. Can still fold junk cause your price doesn't negate you are c/f so much.

The new troll in the forum. Welcome

You want to play a low SPR pot with one of the worst hands, drawing to the 4nuts flush, no straight possible, hitting top pairs with ****ty kickers and super vulnerable to overcards...
In multiway pot! And OUT OF POSITION

yeah right, good strategy troll

I think you made the right play here. Even if you are short stack you can afford to pay 0.5bb to see a flop. You could wait an extra table turn but what kind of hand can you expect for 8-9 hands? Maybe A5s at the best and lets say someone call you with TT you have 33% chance of winning. In your situation you had almost 40% chance on the flop. You tried something you didn't get your cards thats it. You didn't mention blind increase time. Whats it 8-10 mins?

The preflop call is correct. You are getting good pot odds and your hand is not much worse than the limpers' hands. In any case, the preflop decision is very close and cannot lose much equity either way.
