ICM pressure or suicide?

iPoker - 30,000/60,000 NL - Holdem - 8 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4: http://www.pokertracker.com

BB: 31.07 BB (VPIP: 36.14, PFR: 26.32, 3Bet Preflop: 8.70, Hands: 84)
UTG: 15 BB (VPIP: 9.52, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 21)
UTG+1: 5.42 BB (VPIP: 19.59, PFR: 15.38, 3Bet Preflop: 12.82, Hands: 99)
MP: 10.52 BB (VPIP: 15.87, PFR: 15.25, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 64)

Hero (CO): 32.14 BB
BTN: 22.77 BB (VPIP: 27.27, PFR: 25.00, 3Bet Preflop: 50.00, Hands: 11)

8 players post ante of 0.1 BB, SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 2.3 BB) Hero has Ac Ts
fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 2.15 BB, fold, fold, BB calls 1.15 BB

Flop : (5.6 BB, 2 players) 6c 5s 7c
BB checks, Hero bets 2 BB, BB calls 2 BB

Turn : (9.6 BB, 2 players) 8c
BB checks, Hero bets 4 BB, BB calls 4 BB

River : (17.6 BB, 2 players) Jd
BB checks, Hero bets 23.89 BB, fold

Hero mucks Ac Ts (High Card, Ace)
(Pre 0%, Flop 0%, Turn 0%)

Hero wins 41.49 BB

A little info for ICM purposes. FT of the 11$ 8k gtd (819 players?)
Do you like an overbet on the river or prefer a smaller (13-15bb?) sizing?
Any other thoughts about the rest of the hand?

Re: ICM pressure or suicide?

If he is a thinking player he knows he has so much ICM pressure here
Your weak flop and turn bets allow him to realize his equity cheaply . If u want to exploit him go big on flop and turn , u had overcards and backdoor FD on the flop and nut FD on the turn.
AP , u got lucky that V doesnt had 9x or a flush this time... Really lucky...

PD: invest on ICMizer bro and use the icm coach every day!!

Re: ICM pressure or suicide?

if we want to charge weaker hands - fd's or bdsd's or oesd's - on the flop, why don't we bet bigger?
If we want to fold out stronger hands - 22-44 - on the flop, why don't we bet bigger?
What's wrong with checking on the flop?
Do we fold if BB x/r on the flop?

Re: ICM pressure or suicide?

Looks like icm suicide... run it through icmizer and I highly doubt it would recommend this line with shorties around.

Flop looks like a check back, bb defend ranges hits this texture often, try putting in a 30% mdf into flopzilla and see what it spits out

Re: ICM pressure or suicide?

1. Icmizer does not handle postflop situation, PiO can do that in ICM mode though.
2. Quote from the resent article on upswingpoker:

Quote:
A widespread misconception is that the player in the BB needs to defend at minimum defense frequency (MDF) when faced with a c-bet from the in position player. This is completely wrong, and the solvers have proven this by showing that the MDF is not the only driving force behind the correct solution
