Pre Flop: (pot: 2.25 BB) Hero has K A

Hero raises to 2.19 BB, MP calls 2.19 BB, fold, fold, fold, fold

Hero checks, MP bets 2.14 BB, Hero calls 2.14 BB

Turn: (10.92 BB, 2 players) 2
Hero checks, MP bets 4.07 BB, fold

MP wins 10.92 BB

is cbetting better than check/call ?

MP is aggro reg and flats under 20bb which raises some flags + icm considerations with CO on 8bb

Shove PF is a decent option, open might be best sometimes but it's also a little greedy, winning the blinds and make sure we get HU when someone has something is pretty important with less than 20bbs and that hand. We want to shove some midpairs as well so our range to do that is pretty balanced and it's definitly EV+ and unexploitable.

C-c flop looks correct. Probably c-c turn as well, we picked up equity and his range still looks like a lot of broadways (and a few slowplays), we're sort of face up so I expect him to bluff everything we beat and we usually beat a lot, and we can easily c-c twice JJ+ so if he takes everything into 3 barrels bluffs he will have issues. Also we can hero A high river, sometimes. And we have almost direct odds to hit our pair+gutshot draw.

if we raise AK and get shoved on by anyone but CO it should probably be folded so I guess i like shoving better.

don't have any strong opinions on x/c vs b/f flop

I missed the "FT" part in my answer, forgot the title, but I'm pretty sure this can't be right. I know ICM is a thing but if theory should dictate that we have to fold to a 3-bet (wich I believe is wrong but the math could possibly be close in big ICM spots) then open shove or open-fold (wait what ?) are obviously the only moves because raise/folding can't be anything but atrocious.

obviously it depends on the range you give the re jam. I feel like I'm always here always advocating tighter ranges for unknown players than most people but here we go.

payouts 37/25/15/10/7.5/5.5
if the BTN, SB or BB shove 55+,ATs+,AJo+,KJs+,KQo it's break even (+/- 0.1%). adding in 22-44 makes our EV go down and more Ax Kx makes it go up. so i'll let you decide what it should be.

regardless i don't want to put myself in a break even EV spot when shoving is easy money

Shove PF and pick 2.25bb. Some hands win that amount on average, here you don't want to play OOP with ICM pressure on you

Prefer x/f flop. Question is not how often are you good but how often will you win. If he breathes on the pot again you lose.
