I'm noticing that the activity in this forum has slowed down considerably. I don't even check it daily anymore because there are so few new threads being started. Any idea why this might be happening?

People come and go. When I first came here I used to fight regularly with Isuxpokerbad (2015 wsop me winner) and I was in a study group with three other awesome poker players and regs all of whom have moved on (playing higher stakes or found something else to do). That's the nature of the game.

Sadly I think the vast majority of people have quit. A small number have made it into higher stakes. If it wasn't for miguelin43 the thread would already be dead.

hi,

it feels like all forums like this are dying. people do facebook.

I mean 2p2 is huge and will be around for a while I guess, but me second most beloved board (german site for parrots and birds) has gone from the most lively and usefull resource to life support in maybe three years.

Haha that means i am the worst player around here as it seems i am the only one stuck in micro stakes haha

Now seriously i hope you all expert guys dont go away too !! Around 75% of the little stuff i know about poker i learned here thanks to you all !!!!!

I dont know outside Spain, but here everybody who wants to learn poker enlists in a school and we really dont have a serious forum to discuss hands like this outside these schools

So thanks everybody i will keep posting my spews and (hopefully) keep learning !!

I get that people move on but there has always been a steady stream of posters for years. It seems like it changed overnight too.

I've tried the high stakes forum but it also isn't too busy over there and much of the discussion is very GTO/solver heavy.

As a member of other forums, outside of 2+2 there are discussions on how players don't like to come here any longer due to the closed minded nature of some of the posters here. If your answer doesn't fit the norm, players get flamed and trolled for daring to think different.

2+2 is very much becoming like a cult if you think about it.

I have made some posts/asked some questions and I have come to the conclusion that this forum is dead.
There might be people out there with answers or similar thoughts, but I never seem to reach them...

Yeah but that's been the complaint about 2+2 for many years. I think it's actually been a lot better recently since the last crew of arrogant picks left a while back.

I agree that the 2+2 mtt forums are very meh lately. It can’t help that the majority of the US doesn’t have regulated poker. Hard to talk spots when no spots exist except for the live arena.

Meh I wish we could have 2007-2010 again. I get sad thinking about mtt schedules on tilt and stars with insanely juicy gtns.

You nailed it. I think this forum has become quite civilized. I think the advice on top of that ain't bad imo. Keep the faith!

This forum is the best, what makes it the best are the players who post in it, and also the tools for hand history discussions.

I've seen a lot of players come and go, mostly go.....I've even been trolled by regulars I don't care, what matters are the discussions and great insightful hand analyses that some of you are capable.

Gonna be Vegas this coming Sunday and Monday anyone wanna gamble with me?

@OP Why are you posting this crap and then not replying to any of the questions in the forum?

No, certain arrogant mods are slowly killing it. You only have to peruse some old threads to see account after account banned to understand this.
Maybe some of them have become too jaded to be allowed to interact with the customer?

Forums with nobody posting are just deserts and it’s sad. This forum used to be great. Malmuth needs to recheck his hole cardsfrom time to time.

I got into a debate with Malmuth in the psychology forum and he threatened to ban me.

What's the difference in what each of us said? Since black friday 2p2 has seen a steep decline in numbers. There's not much incentive for new members to join a poker forum. I don't doubt there are awful mods (hi rapini) but that shouldn't kill off the largest poker website imo. Anyways to both our points correlation causation etc.
