Folding AQ In middle position after an early position raise

Greetings everyone,

Early in the tournament, stack sizes are all pretty equal and very little to no info on players at the table. Player in seat UTG+2 raises 3x the bb and I have AQ unsuited in MP+1.

Is it ever ok to fold this hand?

Yes, assuming stacks are still deep

I thought so as well....just seems like it’s beaten by so many hands that would be played in EP. All pocket pairs and AK.

If I’m holding AQs I’m at least calling, possibly even 3betting it. AQoff just seems like an ok fold.

cm'n how do you fold AQo with a deep stack after a single raise? cold call seems to be totally ok here.

Maybe if you knew the raiser to be a loose player and playing lots of pots, but since it’s still early in the tournament and stacks are still deep....and still too early to know who is TAG and who is LAG.

Middle position fold from an early position raiser doesn’t sound reasonable?

Call/raise/fold are probably all marginal decisions this deep against an EP raise but I still feel pretty confident that fold is the worst of the three.

if theyre like 100bb+ deep eps range can include hands like suited connectors and suited broadways the latter we directly dominate a nice part of. Id 3bet AQo probably flat AQs since we really dont mind ppl flatting behind since it has better multiway playability
