Hello, I would highly appreciate your thoughts on this spot:

6 left 5r turbo, blinds are 6k/12k with 10% ante

Stacks before posting blinds and antes:
UTG-60,4bb
HJ---6,9bb
CO--23,7bb
BTN-64,0bb
SB---6,2bb
HERO-17,2bb

Payouts:
1st $381
2nd $281
3rd $210
4th $152
5th $96
6th $68

UTG opens 2,4b, folds to hero on the bb with 77?

I was wondering what for example HRC or other programs say about this. This is from a site that doesn't allow huds, so no opening % for UTG. What would you do against tight/standard/loose opening ranges here?

My own thoughts were that flatting is almost always out of question since we pretty much can't continue on any flop, folding seems nitty and shoveing questionable with two 6-7bb stacks.

All comments highly appreciated !!

It sucks but stick it in. Although I really don't hate flatting and there's a lot of flops I continue without the set tbh.

it really depends on how wide the UTG's open range is. he should open really wide for 77 to have a good $Ev profit. I would just call and play some poker postflop.

Thanks for your comments, I guess I should consider flatting more in those spots then, at least as an experiment
Would still be interested in what HRC says vs a standard utg opening range, if anybody could help with that

what's the standard Utg opening range in 6-max table in this spot?

I actually have no idea what it should be, any thoughts? I would guess very loose due to icm pressure. I just bought HRC and tried with a few UTG opening ranges. I don't know how to post pictures, so in text format:

If UTG opens 30,9 %: 22+,A2s+,A3o+,K7s+,K9o+,Q8s+,Q9o+,J9s+, JTo, T9s, 98s

we should shove 77+, ATs+, AJo+, KTs, KQo, QTs+, JTs considering ICM, though I would probably put hands like KTs, QTs, JTs and sometimes AA/KK in my flatting range 17bb deep

By removing a few hands from UTG range we can't shove 77 anymore and by adding a few hands, even 55 becomes profitable.

I guess the conclusion is that it is a very close spot and a huge mistake can't be made by either folding or shoveing? It depended a lot more on UTGs opening range than I initially thought.

What are your thoughts regarding the 30 % opening range ?

I think that ICM table dynamics allows UTG(LJ in 6-max table) to open as wide as 33% because FGS prescribes tight shoving ranges to HJ, CO and SB, just look at these ranges : https://hands.holdemresources.net/?id=14kyo1lt30e4t
On the other hand BTN can often 3-bet and steal a lot if UTG opens wide, so UTG might open less than 33%.
It's hard to say how exactly these guys operate in this situation. I would assume the "standard" opening range for MP like 22+ A2s+ ATo+ K9s+ KQo Q9s+ J9s+ T8s+ 97s+ 87s 76s 65s and call with 77 instead of shoving.
