Hi Guys,

I was on the final table and UTG shoves for 20BB. I have pocket 10's and felt I had to call but really didn't want to as I was up against the second biggest stack. He was shoving fairly tight. Should I have found a fold or is this a clear call. I would have called any of the other players but just because he was the second biggest stack I wasn't sure.

It's his first post give him some slack. Perhaps construct him a rough calling range instead?

Given V's stats he looks like a reg however it is a $1 tournie so he probably isn't too familiar with ICM.

I would give him a range of 77-JJ, ATs+, AJo+, KQs

Against this range TT has about 60%. As you cover him, with the bounty in play and if you win the hand you have a really good chance to ship it I would definitely call.

Bad beats happen. Suck it up and move on to the next one.

hey OP, what's the payout structure and bounty size? From ICM perspective you might not calling this.

The payout structure was: 1st - $265, 2nd - $183, 3rd - $128, 4th - $90, 5th - $63, 6th - $44, 7th - $31

The bounty was $9.

The ICM perspective was what I wasn't sure of.

I would guess>2 med stack vs bigstack - even face up this may not be a call

in order calling with TT to be unprofitable UTG should shove 6.6%, 99+ AJs+ AJo+ KQs
if he shoves any wider than TT is OK

I ran it using the icm $ev.
Vs a range of 77+, ATs+ and AQo+ is a snap fold.
i don't know if the bounties in play affect this, maybe someone else can run the numbers. GL
