don't bet the flop though - V is not folding anything

if we barrel the flop turn is good card to bet again as it adds a lot of equity

Yep , i would usually check the flop with that middle pair but as V was defending just everything vs me i thought his range would be wider than normal

^^^ ok, it actually depends on your opening range from HJ. if you open wide here including all the suited connectors and some one-gappers then calling with 98s is OK. I just open a little bit tighter, hense 98s could be excluded as i obv don't call with my whole range.

I would bluff the river. Villain has gone into super passive mode by checking 3 streets after the preflop 3b, so he can't be strong there. He will have a hard time calling a good sized river bet with whatever he has since the board smacks your range.

I wouldn't wanna fold all our equity on the turn tbh if we get raised.

Gotta draw a line in the sand somewhere. I would still flat this tho but fold 67s prob.

Whats stopping him having QT, AT, TT for a straight?

Because he wouldn't check the river and risk you checking behind.
