-I think I'd have 99+,AQ,AK off 25bb for value. What hands here are we semi bluff shoving. Is A9s ok to fall into that bluff 4b range given Villains aggression?

Against aggro villains, rejam all suited Aces?
Against normal villains?

It's tough to identify "normal" vilains. In those positions Axs is a great hand to 4-bet in general, we fold if we believe SB is 3betting a tight range, but those spots are always pretty close.

Hands like A9s, KQ, 55 , 66, 77 I think u can open shove on the button for your stack 23bb or so.
As general rule, in these late postions, if you have a hand that is profitable shove, but not great to raise call, then shove, don't matter if it is 10bb or 25bb.

Interesting point but;
If we raise and then 4bet shove compared to open shoving, we still stack off against hands that would stack off, but we can induce bluff 3bets like what happened in this hand?

1) You have to determine if you want to balance your range or not.

2) In this hand you are risking 656,116 to win 315,000. Your balanced bluffs should make up 40% of your range. So your range should 3:2 value:bluffs for balance.

3) In this spot the SB full 3 bet range should be about 17%.

4) With your sizing, your worst value hand has to be into the top 32% of his full range. So your value range is about the top 5% of hands. That is about 99+/AQ+ for value. A total of 68 combos.

5) So you need to find 45 bluffing combos. What makes good candidates? Let's look at his potential call range when he calls. His MDF range to call is about identical to your value range. So A blockers/K blockers (KQ/KJ) Hands not likely to be dominated to his unpaired hands (AK/AQ), like J9s/T8s.

if you open shove for 23bbs with A9s you block AA, 99 (stars nuts) and 98s which is a very appealing hand to the cerebrum.

it then caps SBs range to only premium hands like 99+ AKs, AQs Ako, and some A5s and maybe a few more as he still has a BB behind to act so cannot open call a shove with action. also has same fold equity against BB but their range will be a little bit wider with like 55+ a few suited an unsuited Ax hands and some suited Broadways which you have good equity to win a flip with.
