Calling 2 All-ins with AQ deep in the tournament Calling 2 All-ins with AQ deep in the tournament

Hi guys

This is my first thread here, so don't judge me if I'm doing anything wrong

So, I had this situation that I'd like to discuss.

Playing in the 55$ Marathon, already ITM (1st level). I am in the BB with an average stack, which is ~31BB with AQ. The player in the UTG, an amateur that is also tilting, goes all in with 8BB, another one re-shoves with 15BB from HJ.

Another piece of context: a couple of hands before, I was one of the 2 chipleaders at the table and pretty much dominating it, as there were no Pros, just some decent players and a couple of amateurs, so very balanced.

Why is this piece of context important? It added to my reasoning of calling, as in that if I win the pot, I'd get a pretty big stack (top10) and would be easier to increase it by playing looser, considering the opponents I was facing. I'm not a pro by all means, but have enough experience at MTTs, know most of the regulars and am decent at reading post-flop. I have many weaknesses too, but that's another subject

What would you do in this situation and what's your train of thought?

Thanks

I think it's really just a ranging question - given read on UTG I think we can assume they are shoving 20-25% and HJ prob over shoving half of that range - even at the most pessimistic end of these ranges we have enough equity to make it clearly +CEV so I think this is enough to make it a call

Just ran this spot in icmizer with these quick parameters:

UTG Range (8bb): 22+,A2+,KTs+,KJo+,QJ (25%)
HJ Range (15bb) 22+,A9s+,A5s,ATo+,KQ (12%)

Hero calling range: 88+,AQs+,AKo

AQs is only winning 0.15 chips here on average and AQo is a fold. Unless its a bounty we might gamble but in a game this soft I think fold is good here and over call with the very top of our range

totally agree that folding here is the best, since a) shortstacks tend to openshove too tight b) population calls openshoves too tight. Even AQs is against reallife ranges a fold. You need a read to call anything worse than AK.

Thanks for the answers.

I ended up calling based on the read of the UTG player and guessing the HJ would have the same read and maybe have a looser range. Half of the read was good UTG had Q7o, HJ had QQ

Initially I thought it was a pretty standard call, but started doubting it on 2nd thought.
