call it off with kj offsuit? call it off with kj offsuit?

blinds 1200 with 1200 big blind anti

had 22000 and change pre.

button shoves. old guy tourney reg.

got kj offsuit.

he had like 25,000 and sb and me both were also shorter, though sb might of had him covered.

my guess is he is not shoving wide enough on the button that we are the plus ev. been playing with equlabs my guess is we are like 45 pecent equality vs his range.

reason i called is being so short we might not get a better opportunity to almost flip for 22,000, for example next hand i with have only 19000 and change.

so is this sound logic?

he showed the a-4 suited btw

or should i wait for a better spot?

You have just under 20bb by my calculations, that's not super short.

Folding this. Definitely a more favorable hand to be shoving instead of calling off. You've got just under 20 bigs so you've got plenty of chips. His shoving range is definitely going to be ahead of this KJo. Interesting dynamic with the BB ante though.

Lol he must be reading my EV- posts😁

When your effective stack is less than 20 you should looking to make moves. I'm more inclined to fold here than call cause we still have a few orbits and we can shove air if we been tight in certain spots and get folds u know? Kjo does have good equity, but it's always gonna close.

I suggest fold pick a different even though our equity required is close.
