First time posting here so apologies if the question im asking here is obvious.
The frame of reference for the below hand is that we are deep in the money (760 odd got paid), currently standing in roughly 20th out of 66 that remain.
Preflop: (T24,700, 8 players) Hero is BTN with Q T 4 folds, CO raises to T18,000, Hero calls T18,000, 1 fold, BB calls T9,000
I am completely fine with my preflop action here, don't see what else I would do in this spot.
Flop: 4 7 T (T69,700, 3 players)
BB checks, CO bets T36,569, Hero raises to T126,000, BB raises to T673,973 (all-in), 1 fold
Here I am unsure as to whether or not my line is correct, should I have flatted the Cbet and when the cold 4Bet gets put in I am left somewhat perplexed.
Results:
Spoiler:
Hero calls T387,977 (all-in), Uncalled bet of T159,996 returned to BB
Turn: 6 (T1,134,223, 2 players, 1 all-in)
River: 5 (T1,134,223, 2 players, 1 all-in)
Total Pot:T1,134,223
BB shows A T (a pair of Tens)
Hero shows Q T (a pair of Tens - lower kicker)
Yeah you could have flatted instead of raising. I don't think it would have been a mistake. I think Villains shove makes sense since he wasn't blocking any of the flush draws, not sure I agree with it though since you could have some sets in your range. I like your call. You had the right price and tons of equity to do so. Crappy run out.
