Balancing range in MTT and against weaker players.

Do the better players approach balancing their range differently in MTT than in cash (particularly smaller stakes) and if so, how? Also i have been reading/watcning videos on the subject and a few different sources are recommending not using a balanced range against weaker opposition, does anybody disagree with this?

You should be concerned with balancing your range against anyone who might be paying attention to how you play. If you're playing against players who are stuck on level 1, and only consider their own cards, then balance isn't important. Focus on exploiting their flaws.
