Was this a bad slow play?

$5 1K GTY on global poker.
20 players left, 18 get paid.
Blinds 500/1000 100a
Hero is in the SB with QTd with 13,500 behind, villain is on the button with 15,000. Folds around to villain, he opens to 2500, hero calls, BB folds
Flop Ad Jd 9d (bingo)
Villain bets 3500. I contemplated shoving here, but only the Kd beats me, and I want his stack so I flat call.
Turn 5c
Villain shoves, hero calls.
River 5h
Villain had A5 for the full house.
Obviously I bubbled here which sucks, but was the flat call on the flop a bad idea? In hindsight, I'm thinking he probably calls anyways if I shove the flop thinking I'm trying to steal, but maybe he folds considering he doesn't have a diamond and we're on the bubble. I rarely slow play anything, but flopping the flush with the re draw to the strait flush seemed like too good of an opportunity to pass up.
Thoughts?

Yes, flatting in the SB with 13bb is a very, very bad play. If the BB squeezes, you have to fold (20% of your stack), and you're also going to have to fold a ton of flops. You're also being way too results oriented. The odds of Ax boating up by the river is extremely small (5 outs total). Villain almost certainly should've shoved pre, and his opening size is too big. As played, probably check/jam the flop because it's what you're doing with all your TP combos as well as bluffs. If I'm villain, it looks like you have the nuts (what are you flatting with??). You could've 3bet jammed the Q10 pre if you think villain is opening too wide, but probably best to just wait for a better spot.

You flopped a flush and got rivered by a boat - it sucks but it happens. Would you rather he fold his top pair on the flop? No.
Preflop is a problem though. 13bb in the SB is shove/fold territory. In the BB you can defend but not in the SB.

shove or fold pre. Flatting is the worst

Shove pre is a very good play on the bubble for this stacksizes. I even shove any2 if i know villain range is wide here.
