I like flatting here pre because I don't want to fold to a 4bet shove against this player.
Should we bet river though?

I like the flat so early and with the suited hand.

However, when villain checks behind on the turn I think you have to bluff the river. With just the gutter and Ace overcard you don't really have the odds to draw to a better hand (not even if you include the Q outs), so you have to play this as a float OOP with the plan to bluff if he checks the turn.

3b pre for value esp since we don't want the BB to come along for a better price. We can flat if we were in position maybe.

Flatting is fine pre. Would rather 3 bet AQo than AQs, also we are disguising our range by flatting. 3 betting from the SB with an EP open really narrows are range and thus makes it easier for villain to play well against us.

We don't want to be flatting that often out of the SB to begin with so I'm not too worried about balancing a strong hand like AQs into it. Our 3b range being "narrow" is far less damaging than playing against 2 villains OOP with a premium that misses most flops. We now have to check every flop and villain can move us off. Also another thing to not is that by calling we don't really disguise it as opposed to capping it as well. We never flat AA/KK here etc.

Generally I would agree but not on level 1 of the tourney. You're going to be super annoyed if villain 4b after you 3b. And seeing a flop multiway is just fine with a suited hand. You would flat lots of pairs and suited connectors here so your hand is well disguised.

I'm not gonna be super annoyed I'm going to call and play post. I don't want to play multiway OOP but you guys can if you want. We can't say we're afraid of a 4b which doesn't happen often and not count the times a worse hand calls AJs/KQ etc or folds.
