Hi, when I check back twice I think he can merge otr and bet all his med strength hands but he can also have air at the same time. Would you call?

I think I would bet the turn in the hopes of stealing it and avoiding this exact situation on the river.

As played I think he's going to stab with his entire range and you don't have to be good very often given the pot odds. So I'd probably make the call. He could have a decent number of medium suited connectors calling out of the SB.

Maybe but in a $1 MTT I wouldn't expect a light turn x/r very often. And since you don't actually have a hand, folding to a x/r isn't bad.

I'd call but wouldn't be surprised if your beat at $1 level

surely our hand has some sdv tho / outs and if we bet we can potentially get moved off by a semi/bluff on a board where bb has r.adv and we rep nothing.

You might be right, I just don't think you'll face a x/r in this spot very often at all. But perhaps the best play is just to check behind on the turn with the plan to call any reasonably-sized river bet.
