Hi guys

UTG was 35/24 in 30 hands
BTN has been shoving his stack like crazy for the last hands ; he lost one big part of it last hand

I thought shoving didnīt make any sense here as for sure i am going to get called so pot odds (like 23%?) were good enough just to call and evaluate flop...right line of thinking?

    I would definitely re-jam pre. UTG1 can be calling wide since BTN is just jamming everything obviously, so I wouldn't say we have no fold equity. And if we have no fold equity, that means he is calling off some hands that we dominate, which is good.

    i understand your line of thinking but in these spots I feel scared because of my stack size (39 BB) ;

    I mean , with 25 BB I go for it but with 39 I feel its too much risk...is this thinking wrong? I mean (again) is this the kind of play you have to do (and win) to accumulate chips in order to arrive at the FT?

    The flip side of that is that 1/2 of our stack is already in the middle, and if we call, we are in an awkward spot. We ended up getting it in anyway with middle pair. It is really bad if they have TT and 99 and we fold an 843 flop and an A turns.

    And that 39 BB is a big enough chunk to worry UTG1 also, whereas we really wouldn't have much fold equity backraising with 25 BB.

    Join the re-jam camp.

    OP, it's just $9 BI, go big or go home, you don't even need to go anywhere but the main lobby to register for another tournament.

    Usually when they bet into a dry side pot it's pretty strong. Also he's not going to push you off with spades because he'll likely want to get paid off when he hits.

    Well, I mean ideally you should play 4+ $9 BI tournaments simultaneously and if you win spots like this then it should greatly compensate for losing other spots in adjacent tournaments.
