everyone is on ~1500 (37bb)

20/40 no anti

MP+2 limps, hero completes SB w 98 BB checks

flop 592
pot: 120 (3bb)
hero bets 1.5bb, BB calls, MP+1 folds

turn:10
pot 6bb
hero checks, BB bets 6bb, hero calls

river 5
check,
BB bets 9bb, fold

ez fold OTR. flop is most interesting to me because it's fairly common, bet or check? turn is probably a fold imo but it is very difficult to put him on a hand so I call.

*i know there is a STT thread but i know the group here and it seems pretty straight forward

I'd probably iso pre. ap I'd like continue ott to charge redraws. Otr.... could check call or block bet... or check fold. Seams close.

Yeah I don't like x/c on the turn with so many bad river cards.

Ranges are pretty wide and draw heavy here, and BB can't have many hands that beat you. Since your hand is likely ahead but very vulnerable, I bet flop and then fire like 2/3 pot on the turn. Happy to just end it there if you get folds.

Yeah I'm also continuing on the turn. There's a 1000 draws and a T completes none of them and you're playing against an ATC range. If I bet the turn, I'm check/deciding on river but leaning towards a call.

Flop bet seems fine, you should be stealing lots of unraised pots which also means you should be betting in a lot of thin value spots because most people aren't putting up a fight over something they haven't invested much in.

I mean his 5x never bets turn unless 5 10 specifically so you beat infinitely more combos than you lose to
Definetly calling river

How was V playing otherwise? In this hand he's gone from very passive (open limp, call half pot bet on flop) to pretty aggressive (potting it on turn) which I think tends to indicate a generally more loose-passive player that is either (i) trying to play for value and less often (ii) has just decided to bluff in this spot. If that profile seems to match then I'm proceeding very cautiously and ok with river fold

If (despite open limping) the Villain somehow has a more aggressive tendency post flop then I think I'm calling down on this sort of runout

V is in Bb so no open limp

We’re on blind level two so I don’t have any meaningful stats

Personally I'd rather be 3 betting 34s, 45s, 56s, or 78s in this spot, but if you're going to play 89s I'd rather be 3 betting instead of flatting OOP.

Im curious what your thoughts on donk betting the flop were? I struggle with knowing when to play the donk bet so I'm always interested to hear what people think.

I think in some spots it’s perfectly okay to play our hand at face value and just call. Raising can’t be too bad either.

Tbh the flop lead is a part of my game I struggle with too and that was kinda my main reason for posting this hand.
