final table 7 handed live mtt

we have 28000. blinds are 1500/3000. no antes.

we have J

in mp.

2 folds. hero? 4 players behind us. do we shove? we have under 10bbs. top 3 pay but im wanting to win not just cash. blinds will be going up to 2000/4000 in a couple of mins.

1 biggish stack in sb. around 30BB. all others around same as me. no real reads only played 7 hands at the final table. I have shoved 3 hands and took down the blinds each time.

First-in is a huge advantage in that type of tournament. You’ll usually get folds from small pairs, low As and KQ.

The fact that you have been shoving before does mean they are likely to call a bit lighter but even if they call correctly it's a t least +cEV and probably about break even $EV & I'm sure they won't call correctly

The above does not say too much yet. Has it been 3 hands in 1 orbit, 2 orbits or more? Each means something different.

But J9s with no antes is a shove in standard spots. If you think for any reason that you are getting to called light, then this is one of the hands that gets trimmed from the range.
