no reads on villain. thoughts on preflop and river? villain seemed fishy so idk if this was a good spot to 3b pre to isolate. i elected to go with a more conservative route and play a single raised pot in position against him with a good hand.
thoughts on raising flop here?
turn call seems standard. i planned to bet most safe rivers when checked to, and checking back behind worse ones.
on the river I face a big bet and tanked for a while. I felt like I'm at the top of my range with this line and felt like I had to call. missed hearts also seem possible. | end up calling but didn't feel too great about it...
river is pretty close - it's a polarizing bet but like you say we can get here with lots worse
- better to post without results - will get better responses
Hard to fold this but also hard to see how you're ever good in this spot. No busted draws so villain has to be triple barreling hands like QJ/QT/JJ/TT or naked bluffs to make this a call. There are plenty of better hands in his range: AA/KK/AQ/sets/86/75.
I think I would have to sigh-call, expecting to be beaten often.
I think your play here is fine. Definitely would also be okay to 3-bet the KQs - in fact I think I prefer a three bet more than flatting. As played this hand makes for a nice bluff catcher or if he's value owning himself with a worse queen or maybe he's a rec player blasting off here with a hand like JJ / TT.
