Shortstacked here when a medium stack at the table opens 2x after opening the same size 2 hands ago (new table for me, only 4 hands on V).

I feel like this is a good spot to resteal, but I'm wondering what y'all think. How wide are typical Vs generally stealing here in late position and how often are they laying it down if we jam? Also, would you shove this or wait for another spot?

Not ideal but it's fine. You have enough to put pressure on his stack so he can only call with the better part of his range, and likely 30% equity against that range.

I don't think this stacks up - V's opening range isn't that wide from HJ - our stack is right at the lower end of a resteal range against 2.5 bb open meaning pot odds are about 3:2 which encourages a call - our hand plays really badly against the likely calling range

It's jam or fold, but looking at the other stacks, I think we can wait for a better time to be doing this.

Its certainly not jam or fold. Calling is totally fine.

Calling is fine with Q9o vs a HJ open when we have 16BB? Im not sure about that.

calling is the worst option IMO with our stack size and being OOP playing with this hand. I would call with Q9s perhaps, but not Q9o
