Feel like I ****ed this one all up. How would you guys play this on the turn? River I felt like getting these pot odds I was comitted and clicked the call button expecting to lose almost always. Just a bad hand by me I guess. Could be avoided by not 3-betting this pre, but villain was running 39/36 and I felt our hand was a nice 3-betting candidate and was too weak for a call.

Against lag villains I wouldn't 3b hands like this I'd rather 3b a ore linear range that is likely to be ahead of his range (hands like AT or KTs).

So you don't mind reverse implied odds as much because his range is much wider and therefore includes a lot of worse Ax and Kx?

The reverse implied odds are worse for him because he's more likely to be dominated by your range. Additionally, if he's raising a wider range then your implied odds aren't as good because he's less likely to hit a hand he's willing to commit with.

Compare that to a tighter opponent who raises a stronger range. 3-betting with hands like AT or KTs increases your reverse implied odds (bc he's more likely to have you dominated). But if you 3-bet hands like 98s against that type of opponent, your implied odds increase and your reverse implied odds drop because you have a hand that can hit big against a hand he'll have a hard time folding and that's easy to dump postflop if you miss.

I don't mind the 3Bet preflop out of the SB, it's good mix hands like this into your range from time to time.

Villain's value range is Jx+ because QQ+ probably 4Bet GII pre especially if villain is loose. If he is randomly aggro he's likely to have called your flop bet with some random overcard floats and is probably not folding any PP. Therefore I think all of 99, 66 and 88 are possible but you do block those value hands pretty hard.

The line you took is presumably to partly pot control and partly induce his bluffing with the random floats and given that his value range is really small, I think you have to call him off given the lol pot odds you're getting.
