3 handed on FT ICM question

Going off memory here, please bear with me.
3 handed, been dragging on. We busted up the others at the FT pretty quickly so everyone was relatively deep to start 3 handed and went up through 3-4 levels with maybe only going to showdown once or twice. Pretty smart poker played imo.
BTN at roughly 700k - slightly aggro but still tight
BB at about 400k - nit image
Hero at SB with about 300k - nit image
blinds roughly 10/20k by now
BTN folds, I have A3o and jam, first jam I've done since we were like 7 handed or so.
BB snap calls KJo.
Few orbits later we find ourselves at
BTN 650k
BB 350k
Hero 400k
Again, btn folds, I jam A7s, BB snap calls again with KJo
I think in a vacuum KJo here is fine because often I don't have the ace and even when I do, he's rarely dominated.
Yet for ICM considerations, I'm guessing this is a really bad call, particularly the first time?
Does fact I haven't jammed previous to these two and been super nitty change the situation?
I have my own my conclusions but curious to see what others think here

both hands seem fairly std imo and they are well within nash equilibrium
The second one he has no icm pressure because he ss so he has everything to gain and nothing to lose.. he can't wait for anyone to bust so doesn't have to tighten up

I think it might pay a factor that he has not seen you shove with crap that would make him call tighter, this is particularly true in live poker IMO or is this hand from online?
In Nash he shouldn't call tighter because you could have just caught the bottom of the deck but as wow said he is now the short stack so is more incentivized to call
