Blinds 150/300, hero w 10k chips, villain (BB) appx 20k
Hero limps with 78 from the button. BB checks. Pot appx 1200 w antes.
Flop 578 all clubs. Villain leads out with 350 making the pot ~1550. Hero raises another 1500 behind. Villain shoves.
What do you do?
Should this hand have been played differently?

Why'd you limp the button? Why do you wanna fold now?

I think limping 78s on the BTN is a real strat but you don’t sound like you have it together.. raise fold pre. Just flat the bet otf

If it's 87o fold pre.
87s raise pre flop with 30 bb stacks. Learn your ranges!!
As played, you definitely have to flat call the bet OTF and play the pot IN POSITION. Your line achieves the same but you lose the positional and information advantage.
Villain will raise his nuts and good equity hands ( like a big club card). You can't fold given the odds

Think it's fine if you don't fold. Not minding the flop raise, a lot of potential bad cards on the turn.
