2 FT hands: playing when you are the shortest one 2 FT hands: playing when you are the shortest one

Hi guys itīs really a pleasure to be back here after a difficult year...i hope you all are all doing well and healthy !!

Letīs see what we can do with these two FT hands.

I already ICMizer them, but my main issue is a "strategical one" : when we are the last stack of the FT (or second to the last) does ICM aplly its pressure with the same force as if we are a medium stack? I was really surprised with ICMizer results as itīs advising to be REALLY tight calling these shoves...

Sorry for the format of the hands, i dont know why hand converter doesnt work this morning

1.- Hand 1

Ok, i now this is a fold but my question is...in these situations when the 2 last stacks collide in a FT should we call a little wider? If we bust him we go up the ladder AND we get some chips to have a better situation later.......OR.....survival in a FT is the most important thing and we want to wait and let the big ones to bust the short ones?

2.- Hand 2

Ok, here we are second to last...i instacalled without doubt but later was surprised as ICMizer says itīs good but not massively good...and again the same question: as we are second to last shouldnīt we try to risk (f.e with 99-TT or AQs) or is all about survival?

PD: all guys at the FT were regs and i used a tighter all in shove range than usual

Soooo what are your thoughts???

Hi Miguelin good to see you here and good you are making some FTs
H2 link doesn't work
H1 is a fold - its a bit read-dependent - would prob call AJs /AQo but ICMizer may say tighter
your general point is right ICM factor is lower v shortstacks but ICMizer will take that into consideration.
calling ranges should be tight and it's arguable even tighter than ICMiser says in a situation where there is a dominant chip leader and if we double up we are in a position where we have very high ICM factor vs CL

I wouldn't tighten shoving ranges too much though.

It's important to note that when running these spots people's actual jamming ranges may be much different than what the default range says. Ex. In the hand that works, if you ran this as a simple push fold spot, people easily aren't open jamming AA/KK/etc.

I agree with oldgoat. I'd also lean towards assuming villains are jamming too wide in these ICM spots.

I'm not sure I fully understand your question about ICM pressure, but it's going to be very situational and position based. And yes, there can be more pressure on you as either the medium or short stack, depending.
