would love to hear what you guys think about this spot and how u would play it.
I feel like i was to nitty in that spot.
Villain's in SB/BB both reg's. Guy in BB is a weak Reg. He was calling later in this Tourney a 3Bet after he raises utg 24BB Deep with K9s against my btn 3Bet.
I feel like maybe flop bet was maybe a little to small, on this texture. But on the otherside, i dont really wanna build a big pot with this Hand multiway.
When i get call'd on the flop, i think like those guy's have some Ax some QJ/KQ type Hands. and the BB has probbaly the same range, and some rndm Tx hands since he look's like he wants to see some board's.
Would u guys call the river bet in this spot?
My hand is just a Bluffcatcher. Dont think BB is ever going to valuebet a worse Ace, or expect me to fold a big ace.
You don't beat anything BB is betting on that river into 2 opponents on that board.
Flop bet size is fine because hands that will call your bet will call anything larger, so you can get value from draws without risking too much.
But given how threatening the flop is I wonder about a delayed CB here: check flop and then make a good sized bet on any trash turn card. Some cards that improve your hand aren't even good for you (any J, the Kd). So this really is a very vulnerable top pair hand with 3 outs to the nut straight, which you chop with anyone else holding Jx.
i dont mind the cb, but I think river is a fold when we can only chop and doesn't need to show up with KJ or Tx like KT,QT,JT too often to make it unprofitable for us
any Q,J,T,9,8 is such a bad turn card for this Hand. Dont wanna let them Bink their straight's and 2 pair's for free
Plus any diamond. So if 40% of the deck is bad and nobody will fold to a bet, a CB is building a pot that is going to be exponentially more difficult to play and win on the turn and river. I'm not convinced a delayed CB is the best play but I think it's definitely worth consideration.
