Hello everyone, I am trying to understand deep tournament play. Yesterday I played this 6max $1.1 1kgtd and end up 40 in this hand. I want to know if it was the "correct" play
I can't paste the hand history but it was like this
Everyone in table had 70+ BB, excep me (27bb) and SB (45bb). Very agresive table.
I was in MP seat, and got JJ
UTG fold. I raise x2. CO call, BTN call, SB Squezze big. BB fold.
SB was 75/75 in 4 hands..
I pushed, CO fold, BTN fold, SB Calls and shows AKo
A on turn.
Was JJ strong enough to push there? It ended up on a flip but, is ok to push with those stacks and in that deep tournament situation with the risk of villain having us dominated with better pocket?

If the hands are reversed the same outcome happens, hand played itself out. GG

If villain shoves even with 50 or 60bb I'm still probably calling, it's almost always AK when it's a jam like that. If you were both 60 deep and he 3bet and you 4 bet and he 5 bet, then maybe could argue a fold, but against some players they'll 5 bet with even 99 depending on how deep and their skill level of course. When in doubt play standard against people you have no info on, and save any special plays for when you got the info.
