$400 Venetian Seniors. 21 left; 12 get $.

Hero has 20BB on the button. Main Villain min raises off 25BB. While considering what to do, both blinds call(!). Now what?

Hey are you in vegas for week? I’m around playing the $400 now. Would be nice to meet another 2+2.

Hmm tighten up range. Obv sigh raise with big hand as you don’t want to see flop Vs 3 per se with pumping up pot. Hmm I love when live players do this. In the past, I had a lady once bet before I acted when I had a set and I just checked and her bet was binding so I raised her and she eventually called and punted her stack to me. Sometimes it’s smart to hold off on checking to see if folks go too quick.

If I have a hand that plays well multi-way (like SC's or gappers) I call every time. Otherwise its a jam if I am going to play the hand. Both blinds have given away the strength of their hands by not raising.

You get to call more than usual obviously since you cant get squeezed. You can also jam more than usual since you know the blinds wont wake up with a monster.

So yea I would just widen up a pip or two generally with both calls and 3bets. Your 3bet jam range is already pretty linear so just add the best hands that normally flat and then add the best hands you normally fold to your calling range.

How deep are the blinds? Its possible one of the blinds flatted 88 or 99, but I dont see how 77 isnt a snap jam. It was already a standard jam before the blinds told you how weak they are.

So a rule clarification here: If they call out of turn, their action is only binding if you flat, right? If you raise, are they obligated to put in the call?

If they are not obligated to put in their calls, then I jam here as a total exploit.

Correct.

If hero calls, they go 4 ways to a flop.

If hero jams, action changed for them so the call isnt binding anymore. Everything is back to normal, rules wise

If there are 7 players at the table regardless of main villain's opening position I'm jamming with 77.

If there are 8 or more players at the table I would need 88 to jam (OK just kidding). But if villain is UTG with 8 players I am probably going to take into account how widely he has opened before because it is a Senior event and loose UTG opens are kind of rare.

Thing is we are going to get AT and worse to fold. AJ is a definite question. And even AQ has folded to jams in Senior type events.

I was once in a senior event with 77 and a guy had opened early position. I had like 14 blinds and I jammed. He tanked for like a minute and then hesitantly called with AK. LOL except he won the hand.

Opener position matters a whole bunch obviously, and so does blinds' stack sizes. Missing key information here.

It's a cool experiment though and I want to compute this spot when I get a chance.

Sorry must have been pre coffee when I wrote the original post.

Main Villain was Hijack, and kind of tight. Had both a limping range and a raising range, so some of the junk won't be in his RFI.

Blinds are both in the 20BB range as well.

I have not run any PIO but will guess 77 flats more often than usual vHJ and blocker effects with Kx Ax become super important to constructing a shove range
