WSOP Circuit Coming to Town - What's The Best Value? WSOP Circuit Coming to Town - What's The Best Value?

Hi gang,

The WSOP Circuit is coming to town. As a weekend warrior who's interested in playing a big local tourney (but not breaking my bankroll/money separate from life $ to do it), what's the best value for my money? Should I try to play the fields with the big guarantees, or play one of the smaller events at the beginning or end of the series in an effort to get a smaller field?

Any and all advice is appreciated.

If you're looking to play only one, I like the look of the $600 300k. That seems unmissable really - generally speaking, it ought to be up there with the softest, as well as one of the largest prizepools. The rake seems reasonable at about 15%, more than 5% less than the $400s for example. Playing one of the smaller events just because it's theoretically more winnable seems a less appealing option (also higher rake).

Edit: Thinking further, those $400s are quite unattractive. They have the highest rake $330+70) and the ones without guarantees can easily turn out to have the smallest, fairly reg-heavy fields. $400 Monster Stack seems a fine alternative. I'm not sure what type of WW you are, but especially if you're only playing one event - on average the $600 300k has to give you best ROI/value for money/time/stories.

I would say if you can afford it- fire multiple bullets at the $600-300k as that pool is going to be juicy and a nice payout if you somehow FT. Field is going to be gigantic but should be soft into day 2 due to field size and amount of weak players.

I would also play the $400 monster stack. The monster stacks have a much better structure than the smaller mtts. Def would fire 2 bullets and up to 3-4 if need be in that. Again that will crush gtn so ft should pay well.

Good luck. Post hands here if you have any interesting spots.

The first weekend multiflight, the mid week Monster Stack, and the Main Event are the 3 best events to play at any Circuit stop. With the Main being the best value, IMO.

Plus they are going to have $135 Nightlys that arent on the Main schedule and mega satties to the Ring Events. There will be plenty to do even if the Main schedule is out of your bankroll. A lot of stops also run single table sit n gos in the $100 range where winner takes all (or the last couple people agree to chop). Depends of staff/table availability.

If you are only going to play once, I would choose the Sat flight of the $600 Multiflight. Its prize pool back in Nov was $750k off a $300k guarantee and I would expect a similar turnout for this.

Of course if you are a cash game player, then plenty of games will be running during the series.
