When do you use Nash Equilibrium? When do you use Nash Equilibrium?

I saw in training video you only use it Heads up, confirmed.

I also heard you only use it when your opponent is aware/using it too,

or that you do not have edge against your opponent.

So im assuming the SNE playing high stakes use it against each other, but should I use it against someone I may already have an edge against in a $3.50 6 MAX HyperTurbo.

so guys is using Nash in low stakes silly with the intent too move up too middle stakes.

im talking only about 6 max HT when heads up.

and just too confirm, when there's 3 or more players left, you shouldn't be thinking about Nash at all period right.

It doesnt hurt to know nash in any spot. Just having it as a starting point from a game theory perspective is good. But you shouldnt be blindly playing nash almost ever. If youre headsup pretty shortstacked against someone you cant exploit by limping or minraising then just jam nash.

Wrong.
Nash is equilibrium model it doesnt matter how many players are at the table.
That said Nash is best used against GTO players or total unknowns else exploit ur opponents tendancies which by definition means deviating from Nash.

^ total unknowns i'd start by trying to exploit the population tendencies, then slowly gravitating away from that in a Bayesian sense based on the information we start to collect. I think playing Nash against a random would be sub-optimal on average, but that's not to say that you'll never come across some GTO random every now and then.

If you have unknowns in 500$ HT 6 max SNG then probably using Nash equilibrium ranges makes sense.

For more usual scenarios like lower stakes SNGs taking into account population tendencies on current stakes is much more important and efficient then Nash equilbrium.

Also note that assuming that your opponents are shoving according to Nash equilibrium is very often a big mistake, so call ranges will be far off in most cases.

Thanks I just realized this error I was making, just recently in the short term.

assuming there jamming Nash and calling with Nash IS a big mistake.

apperciate the feedback guys.
