What are some of the best places to grind scoop. i.e. good time zone, beach-side, good internet, good food service, etc.

portugal for the win, beachs, good weather good internet and cheap for everything else to a guy in our stable living out there pretty cheap and nice location to in albifuera (no idea how its spelled)

come to germany, the beer garden's just about to open up. We have beaches as well, but it's a bit cold for swimming right now.

to everyone saying the SA timezones are the best. personally, i think you are wrong for a series such a SCOOP (long-term, i'd agree with you) . i'd much prefer to grind on a Euro schedule, especially when I know I'm going to be playing 3 weeks of straight poker. things like social life, balance, etc arent important in that short amount of time. id much prefer to be able to wake up, get a meal + exercise in before the grind, and repeat everyday. thats just not entirely possible outside of europe. the trade-off is not being able to go out to dinner, but i'm much more productive when i get things out of the way before a grind that lasts a variable amount of time.

I am leaving my time zone, and headed to the Euro timezone for this reason

I don't really get this. You can get out of bed the appropriate time before your grind begins to do those things no matter what timezone you are in?

honestly where i'm at:

i start sundays around 4.30-5am, other days i try no later than 8-9am. if i start after 11am, its pretty much a wasted day. id want to start even earlier during scoop, because the best part about a series, are all of the satellites that run the hours surrounding the events

i cant even get food delivered to me for 2-3 hours after i wake up on a sunday. and i live in the restaurant district of a city with 2.5 million people

having grinded series in a few different places, my preference is definitely having a few hours a day to get done what i need to get done before i start playing. it's not easy to wake up and just start playing immediately everyday. i respect and appreciate what euros go through day in and day out in terms of grinding. i'm lucky in the respect that i basically work a 9-5 every day (AKA normal hours). but there's nothing normal about SCOOP and my goal is to play the best/most comfortable 3 weeks of poker i can, and i really dont think that's possible where i'm at. which is why i've chosen the netherlands for that 3 week period (along with some of my other friends).

I love grinding at night, I don't think I would have it in me to get up at 7am every day to play poker.
