Hello again, everyone!

The 2017 Turbo Championship of Online Poker is approaching (18-29 January 2017), and it's time once again for me to present the tentative schedule in order to give you an opportunity to provide feedback on what we've worked out so far. After much discussion, we're up to Version 6 of the TCOOP 2017 schedule, and I'm happy to inform you that we've got some exciting things in store, many of which are new to TCOOP, which is expanding this year to 65 Events (from 50 in 2016 and earlier).

New to TCOOP in 2017:
  • Bubble Rush Events: the structure plays fast until the payout bubble is reached, then things slow down.
  • Win the Button Events: the winner of each hand receives the button for the next hand.
  • TWO Phase Events: one NL Hold'em (on the last day instead of the first as it was 2016), one NL Omaha Hi/Lo.
  • TWO Player's Voice Events: one NL Hold'em, one non-NL Hold'em.
    • More to follow on these in the near future.

As I always do at this time, I'd like to point out that we not only listen to feedback from our players on the Championship schedules we develop, we absolutely depend upon it! If you'd like to comment on anything you see below (or anything you don't see but wish you did), please drop a line to tcoop at pokerstars dot com, or send me a PM here on 2p2, or comment in the thread below. Feedback will be collected for approximately one week before we finalize the schedule and start getting the Events ready.

** Note: guarantees will be posted when the series is deployed to the PokerStars client.

Any chance to get 8-game of more modest buy-in? 82 or 215.
And 700 8game starts so early on Sunday.

Would love to see a hyper-turbo progressive ko preferably a $27 buy in. Its a very popular format and does very well in the daily schedule. Should def add this format to tcoop even though I believe this format would win the players' voice event#1 but the buy in of that event is too high for most of us : (

Think you could replace saturday speedway on 21 Jan 18:30 slot with this format and let the original $33 speedway run side by side. Don't think there will be too much of cannibalization.

Appreciate the new O8 tournaments being added. The phased NLO8 sounds epic!!

A couple of observations/suggestions:
1) There are exactly zero NLO8 hypers on the schedule while there are 5 NLO8 turbos (including the phased). Given the popularity of this game format, it shouldn't be left to the players choice again (like WCOOP), you should definitely have a 215 6max hyper and 27-82 PKO hyper.

2) The 215 PLO8 ultra deep, hyper, WTB might be better served as NLO8. PLO8 and hyper doesnt play out as smoothly due to the inability to shove when you are short. PNL might be an interesting element also.

3) 215 seems too high of a buyin for the non-holdem players choice. Most of the events are 27-82 and it just wouldn't make sense to get 200 players playing a 215 event when you can get 1000 at an 82 level.

I don't want vote flooding by people who aren't likely to play. The lower the buy-in, the more likely that is to happen. In any case, there's nothing wrong with 200 at $215.

As for the Hyper-Turbos, even for TCOOP 4 out of 65 is more than I'd prefer, and two of them are locked-in as NL Hold'em (Supersonic SEs). The suggestion you offer up in point 2) above might work. We'll see how the feedback goes.

13:00 - $82 NL Hold'em [Turbo, Progressive Knockout (100%)]

What about a small version of the tcoop main?
I would suggest a 25$ buyin.
With that buyin it doesnt canabalize the normal main event but gives players an opportunity to play for a big prizepool.
I think it could get huge like between 300.000-600.000 $ prizepool.
the mini wcoop main has been a great tournament, why not have something similar for tcoop?
i would like to see the final phase 1 of the 27$ to be played on monday
that way it gets even bigger
because every player would play it on the last sunday of tcoop
i think some of the 9max tournaments should be 8max
8max is more fun to play

Thanks Bryan for the early schedule.

I really like the diversity of buy-ins, many 27$, 82$ and 215$. Are all those tourneys with re-entries?
I think running a NLO8 phase tournament is great. Might cost me a bunch of buy-ins but...

Like User12345 I'd like to see at least a 27$ or 82$ mixed game tourney, HORSE or 8-game. That's really too bad to see only a 215$ HORSE and a 700$ 8-game.

And I agree with badmoe92, a small "Main" on the last Sunday would be great, but I think 82$ or 100$ would be a good buy-in.

so you're skipping a tournament that goes hyper --> regular when you otherwise would have played a turbo? that doesn't make much sense to me. this is a turbo series.

any chance we could get a few events off peak? starting around now to 3 hours time? That timezone never gets any love during the series!

Thanks!

For Sunday, January 22nd maybe switch the timeslots for the 12:00 and 14:00?
(so players voice to 12:00 and psko to 14:00)

Hello Bryan! Thanks for the early schedule draft.

Overall the schedule is great imo

- Maybe a lower 8 game would be great like 82$
- One hyper turbo NLO8 could be added but it s not mandatory

And finally why don t you keep the main event at 700$ like it used to be? I am not sure the 1k will reach a bigger prizepool... Unless you guarantee 2.5-3M!

For me the 300$ difference is a significative difference.

Great schedule Bryan,

The 215 plo8 hyper would be much better as nlo8.

The Player's Choive voting process really needs to be changed so cant happen again that most of the players who vote for a format wont playing it( NL 2-7 SD PSKO).
Is it doable for example that the voting is open until the event starting time and the format that has the most votes starts and others got cancelled?

Can you provide feedback on Luke's whereabouts? Has he left the company? Has he been abducted by pirates off the Isle of Man? I only ask as it has been 6 weeks since he posted in the thread he is supposed to be looking after.
