Wow this thread is old. Here is some new content. Check out the 15/2 bankroll strategy by James 'Splitsuit' Sweeney. In short, the strategy is: Take a 2 buy-in shot once you have 15 BI for the next level, However, when the rake is very high, such as in very micro stakes tours, use a 10/2 rule, because you lose way too much money with each game and getting raked out.
