Stacking off to early? Stacking off to early?

I think this is correct, being that it is a $2 table, and people call with top pair all the time. Is this worth it so early in the SNG to be stacking off? From what I understand I want to stack off with sets?

yeah, don't see anything wrong with this. you've hit your set, and there aren't any flushes or straights on the board. you can't give him credit for a bigger set, especially at a $2 table. If you're beat, shrug you shoulders and move on to the next one

Calling preflop at t50 from EP is meh. Not betting that flop or at least c/raising it is way worse. I'd probably just fold pre, but as played bet ~200 on the flop and try to get it in.

just looking at it again, don't agree with the PF play, I don't like open limping in early position, so for me it's just a fold at the start. but after that you should stack off most of the time with your sets. you could have also bet/check raised on the flop

Posting this is results oriented thinking imo, you wouldnt have posted this if you didnt lose the hand. You have a set, get it in, its basically teh nuts, ESPECIALLY at a 2$ table...I wouldnt give someone at my 12$ tables that kind of credit

There's plenty enough wrong with how this hand was played that it doesn't really constitute being results oriented imo.

Fair enough lol, didnt actually read the HH thouroughly when I posted a min ago, just re-read it and it was rather butchered from the open limping in EP at t50 to the slow play on the flop...although i still think this hand wouild never be posted if someone won, he hit his set and regardless he should prolly get it in ASAP

Let me guess: villain turned over AT and you cried.

Edit: with an A on the flop and a made set I raise the flop.

I like to limp small pocket pairs from almost any position, try try and stack off with a set. I am rather inexperienced and was just looking for some expert opinions. Would you guys not even limp low PP's early? I do agree not betting flop was prob bad thou.

Is limping in that spot a possible leak for me?

At small/micro stakes openlimping pps is fine at t20/t30. But at t50 you usually dont have the implied odds anymore.

depends on tabledynamics. If the table is passive you can profitably limp PPs in any position up to BB50 imo (also depends on your stack though).
But without a huge chunk of experience about the other players IŽd recommend a fold in t50.

And if you feel you must play PPs, start raising that sh*t up at t50 since the blinds are now worth picking up uncontested. But I'd still probably be folding them up to 88.
