no because of the diminishing return on chip value. Basically as we go further in a tournament losing a chip is worse then gaining a chip, so if an hour goes by and our stack is the exact same size it was as an hour previously, then we've vastly increased the worth of our stack with 0 risk. The other people are "gaining money" by gaining chips, but at way more risk then the chips are worth. You should just stall and wait for premium hands.

jesus christ, this idiot at my 3r table is literally timing out every hand telling us that stalling is helping us because we're "advancing", and he's counting down places until the money bubble

i think it might be OP

rofl only if you're WAY worse than everyone at the table, because even if you're about average vs/ the field/your table you can pick up chips easier with a big stack. not bad though you at least made me reconsider for a few secs

I might stall if I degen off my roll in the 5K FTOPS but anything below that my ego will refuse to let me believe I don't have an edge

So, to players who win: Hands/hours, don't stall.

To OP: Stall for the love of god or you will only lose faster.

Is it a coincidence that the person who takes more time per hand than anyone on the planet was the CardPlayer Player of the Year last year? I think not.

I can easily come up with more valid, if unpopular, places to do so.
