Should I have shoved? Should I have shoved?

2 tables left - blinds 10k/20k - 6 handed.

Hero - 7.5bb
Villain - 9bb

Action folds to hero in SB with QJo. Hero shoves, villain calls with A6s.

Question - should I have shoved here? I presume any 3bb raise would have been met with a 4bet.

A6 held up - seemed a good spot to shove and unlucky villain had the hand but i would’ve had the button next hand so could’ve waited for a more premium spot?

Find a nash equilibrium push/fold chart and study it. This is a trivial jam.

Yup to this above. I would shove and not really care about the result as you made a +ev shove. Even when called in this example- you had a solid amount of equity against A6. Can’t keep folding and pass up +ev spots like this.

You can raise and fold to a shove here really lol. It’s a jam or fold decision pre. Maybe you can limp top top of range against aggro opponent that will punt super light- also maybe can exploit raise small to like a min raise with top top of range also.
