Day 2 of $200/200kgte 1894 started, 171 made day 2, 68 left

My read on the villain is he's a passive reg, 50s Hispanic male

I start the hand w 235k, villain covers, blinds are 5k/15k/15k

Otth: I raise 35k from cutoff, button folds, sb folds, villain in bb calls (pot 75k)

Flop: 983ss, villain checks, I bet 35k, villain calls (pot 145k)

Turn: 3h, villain checks, I move all in for 165k

Otf I considered a smaller bet size and give up if i miss but at 17bbs I wanted to get it in ott with my range advantage, his range otf looks like draws and weak pairs which should all be folding ott, what ya think?

You said you opened to 35k but pot was 75k, which doesnt make sense. Should be 35+35+5+15=90k
Flop should be small cbet (20-30%) or a check is fine. With a strong draw like this you dont need to put that much pressure on your opponent because you can often hit good turn.
But jam on turn IP for over a pot is definitely wrong. With hand like this its pure check. You can then bluff on the river.
Jamming more than a pot IP on turn is rarely a thing and when it is, its gonna be a hand with pretty dirty outs, not with those pretty clean straight draw outs.

He was in the bb so it was 35+35+5

Flop is whatever, I think check back or small bet is fine, probably don't need to size up considering how shallow we are. I think this could even be a 1BB bet.

As played I don't mind small turn bet (intending to fold to a shove) or check, would lean towards check versus passive reg. We can consider jam vs. passive reg if they check river.
