First time poster here at 2+2 forums so I’ll give you all a brief run down of my journey so far. I began playing full time last year on September the 8th, I’d recently come out of a job I no longer had any passion for and wanted to give full time poker a go as its something I love to do.

Since then I have played 207 tournaments consisting of around 1032 hours of play in total. I have bought in for £14880 and have cashed for £35735 with a total profit of £20855 and a ROI of around 140%. I’d estimate I’ve played somewhere between 25,800-30,960 hands in that time. I don’t have much of a bankroll (£5k) so I play tournaments with buy ins between £40-£150.

As you’d imagine a solid ABC strategy in these games tends to do pretty well although I’m conscious of the fact that when I’m eventually ready to move up in stakes that the quality of my opponents will exponentially increase. Foreseeing this eventuality has helped me make the decision to invest in a membership at pokercoaching.com and at dtopoker.com.

Now due to the hours i’m putting in studying I am obviously learning new strategies and techniques which may help me more so in the future but not right now. I feel now because I am a lot more aware of what ranges of hands and in what positions I should be using I am beginning to overcomplicate what I should be doing and getting caught up in situations which I haven’t been previously.

I was just hoping to get some wisdom on what information I should be taking from my studying to actually use in game against the type of players I’m playing against. Any help, direction or wisdom will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and good luck out there!
