**Pre Flop:** (t95000) Hero is BTN with [9](/clubs) [A](/clubs)
*4 folds*, Hero raises to t80000, SB raises to t6866331 all in, *1 fold*, Hero calls t807375 all in

Same tournament as above. SB had been really aggressive, raising and 3bshoving a lot, as he had a stack 3 times bigger than the 2nd place in the tournament (at this point, there were about 16 left and I was ~10th with average at 1.2m). I feel my hand is really ahead of SB's range given how agressive he is and I can't really wait to ladder up with 20 bbs. Also, this is a super KO.

Sorry for formating, copied from reddit post, can't find hand on pt4 anymore.

My only question to OP and others is,

How wide can villain do with this, and still breakeven on his jam?

OP if you're gonna second guess your reads, and not jam this pre, than just raise/fold, or just fold pre.

You know there are two sides to the argument for just about anything you do in this spot.

1. I guess it depends on how much everyone folds to his 3bets. So far it had worked out well for him in the other 4-5 hands he 3bet (he also shoved those) as nobody called, so I assume people hadn't yet really adjusted by opening tighter and/or calling 3bets wider. This means, IMO, that he can and is going to 3bet really wide and expect a big profit this way.

2. I just didn't want to openshove pre with 22 bbs, although in hindsight, it might have been better given that this guy was jamming a lot. I think with such an aggressive player in the SB we really should try not r/f'ing, so when I raise I raise with the intention of calling his shove.

3. Where do I second guess my reads?

So if you opened with the intention of calling the 3-bet shove, what is the question?

I think this line only makes sense if you think he 3-bets at least a third of the time. You are too close to break-even for it to make ICM sense if hes any tighter.

Do you have any take on how his shove-calling range differs from his 3-bet range?

It really sucks having the monster stack on your immediate left. I'm not sure you want to shove with a 10% hand with an M of nearly 10. Normally you would but with a loose monster you might want a bit better hand. Are the blinds about to go up? If you can make two more circuits before they do, it would be better to wait and hope for better. If the are going up in the next three hands or so, you might as well move now, and let the difference between his calling range and 3-bet range determine whether you shove or bet-call.

I don't play many Super Knock Out's, so not sure what adjustments need to be made in this spot, but if this was a standard tourney i'm snap calling this against that villain.
