um...didnt say he was strong necessarily...if I raise and he 4 bets I have to fold (which makes no sense if I play the flop this way anyway...lol)...I have position and my hand is concealed...

if I'm on my game I call pre...call his c bet and fold turn if he fires again..obviously not the case but can't see 3 betting pre with the button here

Either is fine by me

I'd say he has nearly any PP (including sets), FD or TP

+ a random air hand about 5% of the time

Jacks are good against that range, though beat sometimes

FWIW, I think your pre-flop was correct and first flop raise was correct. Naturally when he comes back over and 3 bets the flop you puke.

If the guy's legit you know it's a fold and it's time to check out, but you see so much spewtardedness in the first dozen hands or so of these things that it's easy to talk yourself into thinking you are ahead. It's all so player dependent and you really have no idea what kind of player this is.

Right now, without seeing the results, I'm thinking you are behind, but could probably win a little more than 36% of the time, so I would probably push here as well since a push is really only a call in this case.

I don't like it, but prolly play it the same. It's either a case of you had a good hand but ran into a better hand, got your money in right but lost to a suck out, or you double. I can live with myself with any of those 3 outcomes.

I'm actually 3-betting pre and folding to shove also SSYNC. $280 then fold seriously. IF he flats I'm shoving any flop w/o A or K. A or K I'm c/folding flop.

As played no way I fold. Fist pump vs AQ, 5's, or 6's? till river at least.

Then berate him in chat box obv.

gg me...lol

so...if we raise pre we fold out a hand we have huge equity against...as played we justified his play by paying him off...

gotta do a human sacrifice soon

Here's what's frustrating about this, the dmfk already raised BB*4 from UTG+1 w/ 74s. Spewtards like this won't fold to a reraise.

I'd like to see the re-raise pre sometimes, but just a smooth other times. Having position is one reason for the smooth. Also, Id be guessing he's holding K-K and wanted to assure no Ace on the flop before getting it all-in. Since you posted it, I'm going to figure it's something bizarre, so my new guess is 4's.
