This came up in a tournament this morning. I think it is pretty standard, but wanted to get a second opinion.

I've only been at this table for 14 hands, so take these reads for what they are worth:

BTN had been limping and cold calling a lot, even with a short stack. She just doubled up with 66 in the BB when she cold-called a raise and flopped her set. She raised once previously from UTG+2 and showed KTs after the board came up dry and it was checked to the end.

SB shoved with about 10BB my very first hand at the table. He had AQ and doubled up. He raised one other time and didn't show, so I don't know much about him.

As for me, I limped once from late position and folded to a 4BB raise. I also raised from MP once, got called by the BB, and won the pot without showing.

Oh, and we're far from the money at this point. I think the average stack was about 4000.

Pre Flop: (t240) Hero is BB with Q Q
6 folds, BTN raises to t320, SB calls t240, Hero raises to t1500, BTN raises to t2680 all in, SB calls t1600 all in, Hero calls t1180

My intent with the 3-Bet was to avoid playing a big pot OOP if overcards showed up. I figured my FE was decent, and if either one wanted to play they'd pretty much have to shove. I really wasn't expecting both of them to get all in, but once it happened I figured I was priced in to the call. Anyone think I'm off base here?

What is the question?

you are "off base" if you consider folding or regret your 3-bet.

Might as well shove if you're putting half your stack in. Especially if your plan is to not see overcards on a flop OOP, why give them a chance to see a flop but also make yourself pot-committed even if overcards do come? Plus a shove looks more like a light steal than a half-stack 3bet. Off base would be folding ever.
