Ignition - 400/800 NL - Holdem - 8 players
Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3 : http://www.holdemmanager.com

CO: 34,799 (43.5 bb)
BTN: 4,140 (5.2 bb)
SB: 33,043 (41.3 bb)
BB: 14,332 (17.9 bb)
UTG: 101,675 (127.1 bb)
UTG+1: 30,870 (38.6 bb)
Hero (MP): 30,025 (37.5 bb)
MP+1: 23,280 (29.1 bb)

8 players post ante of 80, SB posts 400, BB posts 800

Pre Flop: (pot: 1,840) Hero has Tc Qc
2 folds, Hero raises to 1,600, MP+1 calls 1,600, 4 folds

Flop: (5,040, 2 players) 9c Kh 2c
Hero bets 2,520, MP+1 raises to 7,200, Hero?

So let's say hypothetically we have no fold equity (and ignoring ICM), I want to make sure I'm calculating how much equity I need to shove here correctly. On the flop there's 5,040 and V is effective stack at 21,600. After I bet 2,520 and they raise to 7,200, I have to risk another 19,080 (21600-2520) to win what's going to be a pot of 48,240 (21600*2+5040), for 39.55% (19080/48240) equity needed, correct?

I'd also be curious people's thoughts on the hand and turn decision. Roughly 40% of field remains.

That would be correct if you assume they call 100% of the time. Try adding a calculation where they fold some % of the time.

I disagree. We have 3x or more the chips of everyone at the table. We are putting a lot of pressure on, and ahve a hand that loves to see flops. We have a hand that can call a small raise and happily fold to a shove (except BTN, where we snap). This is just a prime opportunity to pick up easy chips.

That said, I would have bet smaller on the flop (Probably around 1/4 pot). Most players are going to play fit or fold to your big stack and you can win pots with small bets.

Whoops. Misread the hand. Thought OP was UTG.

As played I don't mind a shove or a fold.
