a few days ago I got a $22 blowout series ticket that expires on Jan 20th, and when clicked on, it showed multiple satellites and events.
This morning I checked and it showed nothing, tried again in the evening and it only shows satellites to the $530 big blowout event, to be played on Jan 10th.
If I manually select a $22 event, it doesn't show me the option to register using a ticket.
I contacted the chat support and they told me than now all the tickets they've given can only be used as satellites to the big blowout events.
Lame.

This is pure trash. The fact that they advertise that you can win blowout event tickets in the ticket machine by playing other events and then to change them to only satellites is arguably the most unprofessional thing ever. I played events so I had a chance to win tickets and I was saving them for this weekend (because I work like most humans) and now I can only play satellites.
Can't wait to see their response to the thousands of emails when people with $5.50, $11, $22 tickets try to register for a blowout event and realize that they can't use their tickets anymore

This caught me out last night. I regged a $5.50 event that I had checked earlier in the day the ticket was valid for. When I entered it took $ from my account with no option to use the ticket. I didn't even notice until I was knocked out.

Pretty shady but nothing surprises me with P*s anymore.

Did exactly the same with a $22 one and only realised afterwards , when i saw i still had my ticket.

Then used the ticket and came 60/1200 with top 50 getting seats

It is because Stars realized they will have a massive overlay in the $530 and started to panic. They changed all the tickets to sat into that so they don't have to pay as much in overlay. Scum site to be honest for doing this mid series without a warning

Despite the scummy tactic, they were freebies and i have quite enjoyed this blowout series.

What is the next series stars have planned ??? is one out ready yet ?

Ya I got the 11$ Bash Ticket for free, a 5.50$ Blowout Ticket, 22$ in cash, then another 11$ for a blowout series and then another 11$ and 5.5$ I could use in the satellites, so in the End I got 66$ for free which I did not see in year at stars...

If anyone else still has a $22 ticket to use, there's a $100k gtd it can be used for tonight instead of satellites (8.05pm UK time)

Anyone having issues with lag since the new update?

Yupp, wrote support some days ago still no solution. delay slow motion style and also you click but it dont react. Tiiiilting

I've got that too. Stuttery/low framerate gameplay with some inputs not registering properly.

There were a few instances where I clicked fold and it didn't register and I ended up using time bank while clicking it about 5-10 times to finally take action

fix the software plz. GG is getting all the traffic, you guys cant even make a low fps table theme ffs

I played a lot at stars 10 years ago and gradually fell off playing almost completely a few years back. Having returned to poker the last couple of months, I wonder what exactly happened to PokerStars in the interim. As a predominantly micro MTT player who doesn’t keep much of a roll online, the selection of tournaments available is lacking, prizepools are spread so thin and diluted excessively by the amount of KO tourneys that it’s not really worth playing MTTs unless you can put in extremely high volume and the software is terrible. It took me forever to figure out how to find anything, the chest reward system is weak compared to the old FPP/Starcoin model and often awards casino bonuses that are not clearable as opposed to anything a poker player might want or need as a form of replacement rakeback in lieu of FPP/VPP type points that can be redeemed. I don’t wonder there are so few recreational fish type players left in the game, when you earn practically nothing for playing and spend 5 hours in a $5 tourney with 135 minutes late reg and walk away with $4.20 for a min cash. Yuk.

Not to meantion all the missclick sizes that goes thru. But hey I got a refund of 2$ after some complaints. Now it all feels better.

Yeah stars is very average these days. All the rec fish are mostly from Brazil and Russia which are incredibly poor countries, with very poor average salaries. A lot of people are trying to make it in poker.

Already abandoned stars again. Even as a recreational player with realistic expectations of not making any great financial reward from grinding MTTs, it’s just not fun playing PokerStars any more. Sure, they’ll always have the lure of hosting the biggest donkaments to be found anywhere online, with those huge guarantees and large field sizes, but that’s not even necessarily a good thing. There’s no real incentive to take up PokerStars as my primary site again, they offer very little back to poker players who elect to play there and are keen to continually push you towards the casino with poker reload bonuses being used at the casino only, free spins on slots that pay nothing being offered as rakeback and bonus chests containing casino bonuses being awarded to poker players. I gave them a month or so of play, but I can’t stick around. Very disappointing.

A lot of lag tonight, problems with only 2 tables. Just lost interest playing there.

On another subject, do you feel the table swapping is unbalanced? I either get moved every 2-3 orbits (even in vainilla, normal speed tournaments) or be at the same table for a looong time, the other day I spent 430 hands in one table, which was a record for me. They days of playing 7-8 orbits before being moved are long gone

To fix the lag:
Go to Settings > Table Appearance > Animation > Aurora graphics quality and set it to medium or high

I had insane "lag" while set to low, switched it to high and it runs very smoothly now.
This happened after their last update.
