stars seem to think if they grab as much money as possible and kill poker they can get all of their customers playing casino games.

I knew something like this was going to happen. MTT's were the last place that a player could make decent money without Stars getting a huge percentage as well (compared to cash).

Raking rebuys is there way of balancing all game types to pay the same. Obviously this will kill rebuys... but that's ok from their pov as it will push even more players into bounty builders where their margins are much higher than freeze outs.

Obviously none of this is good and if Stars see's any possibilities to raise rake again or slash rewards they'd do it in a heartbeat. No need to pander Luke about these changes as he's not willing to give up his job for players... considering he borderline sold out players just to get his job in the first place.

incredible that stars would completely kill the most successful satellite format (3x turbos) too. They will surely struggle to get enough people regged at the start to even run and removing this type of sat will negatively effect a ton of other tourneys in a big way.

$1.10+R from $60K gtd to 40K to 35k to 30k to 10k?

From their POV they wanted to kill this format for three reasons.

1) The rake was ridiculously low compared to other satellites.

2) Due to the massive Polish and Lithanian collusion rings far too many "winning" players were just collecting $T money.

3) Due to the structure many rec players weren't reaching the add-on which is to their disadvantage.

Furthermore I think it's important to at least consider that the role of satellites doesn't really serve Stars' purpose anymore. They'd much rather regs battle higher stake MTT's out with each other and keep all recreational money in the "micro" MTT's where many "winning" players can't be bothered with. This is probably why Luke has said that he wants to focus on the Low stakes MTT schedule for expansion.

In an attempt to justify this they slot a graph in there called 'Pokerstars Pricing vs Competitors' which compares the rake at $0.02/$0.05 - $5/10 cash games.

This is after they claim 'PokerStars still has significantly lower rake than competitors.'

Please show me a similar justification for MTTs because I'm pretty sure making the 109R+ a 200+18 or 300+27 is not going to be significantly lower than any of your competitors offerings.
